What is Applied Net?

Applied Net Client Network Conference is the flagship annual conference for insurance professionals who use Applied Systems’ software. Designed for insurance owners, principals and their teams, Applied Net’s format includes technology innovation and education, industry best practices and professional networking.

What is the Applied Client Network

The Applied Client Network is the only authorized user group for Applied Systems software. The network assists member agencies and brokerages in driving Applied product system utilization to increase agency and brokerage value through communication, education and advocacy. Members have access to education conferences, community, networking, advocacy, local chapter access and much more. How do I join the Applied Client Network

Applied Client Network is the only authorized user group for agencies and brokerages using Applied Systems software solutions. Membership offers timely and relevant educational programs, networking opportunities, industry advocacy, local chapter support, an active online community and much more. What can I expect to gain from Applied Net?

Expect to share knowledge and information with peers and partners, receive hands-on training and acquire first-hand best practices strategies at Applied Net. What education sessions are offered?

More than 200 education sessions are organized in industry theme and product-specific learning tracks for all levels of Applied Systems users and all roles in the agency or brokerage.

Who are the session presenters?

The faculty roster includes subject-matter experts who are agents, brokers, Applied Client Network master presenters, Applied Systems professional staff and other industry experts.

How can I determine which sessions to attend?

You can choose sessions within a track geared to your experience level or role in your organization, or select from a variety of sessions across all tracks.

Are continuing education credits available?

Yes. The pre-conference program includes continuing education (CE) sessions to ensure you meet the requirements of your state, while also providing additional education to build success at your agency or brokerage. These informative sessions are presented in partnership with The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research, the leading organization for delivering practical continuing education programs for professionals involved in insurance and risk management industries. Sessions will be held on Monday, September 25, as part of the pre-conference program. Additional fees and pre-registration is required.

When will the list of sessions be made available?

The complete list of conference session titles and tracks will be available in May 2017. Applied Client Network and Applied Systems are determined to provide you with best-in-class technology education at this annual conference. With more than 200 sessions now being scheduled, you can rest assured there will be education for all levels of experience and job responsibilities in your agency or brokerage.

Can you tell me more about the Executive Management Program?

The Executive Management Program provides new perspectives on industry trends and market developments and is designed to equip agency and brokerage executives with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the present into the future. Featured speakers include leading industry analysts, consultants, and peers. The additional program costs $199 with Full Registration.

What can I expect in the Applied Net exhibit area?

Exhibitors are insurers, industry organizations and providers of products and services important to the business of insurance. Get information, hands-on experience and up-close interaction with your carriers and other exhibitors, including Applied Client Network and Applied Systems.

What are the dates for Applied Net 2017?

Monday, Sept. 25 – Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017.

How do I register for Applied Net?

You can register online from February 15 – September 18, 2017 or register onsite at the venue from September 24 – 27, 2017.

What do I need to be admitted to Applied Net events?

Your official conference badge is required for admittance to all Applied Net daytime and evening events. If you misplace your badge during the conference, please seek assistance at the Applied Net registration desk.

What forms of payment are accepted for registration?

We accept MasterCard®, Visa® or American Express®. All balances MUST be paid in full prior to the event or you will not receive your credentials onsite.

If I have a question that's not addressed in these FAQ, where should I direct it?

New information will be posted frequently on this website. Check back often for updates. You can also contact Applied Client Network at 800.383.2952.

What is the cancellation policy?

All cancellations can be made online. A 10% fee will be charged for each canceled registration received on or before May 19, 2017. Cancellations received between May 19, 2017 and September 24, 2017 will receive a refund of 50%. No refunds will be given after September 24, 2017. Substitutions, however, may be made at any time. No-shows, without prior written notice, are responsible for payment in full. Applied Client Network and Applied Systems are not responsible for non-refundable airfares or change fees incurred as a result of canceled airline flights or changes imposed by the airlines due to inclement weather or scheduling changes. Hotel reservations should be canceled directly with the host resort.

Is there a discount for registering early?

Yes. Early Bird discounts apply through May 19, 2017. Visit the Registration page to view complete registration details.

Applied Client Network members receive a sizable discount on their registration fee. I am currently not a member, but considering it. What benefits do I receive?

Applied Client Network provides education conferences, community, networking, advocacy, local and virtual chapter access and much more to members. As the only authorized user group for agencies and brokerages using Applied software, Applied Client Network ensures you maximize your investment in your Applied products and drive increased ROI by saving time and money. When joining the Network during registration, you immediately receive the member price for the conference. The membership nearly pays for itself!

Is there a group registration discount?

Yes. Applied Net is offering a discount on Full Conference Registration after the third registrant from the same agency or brokerage (The discount applies with the fourth person and all subsequent registrations). Please contact the Applied Client Network at 800.383.2952 for group registrations.

What is the deadline for registration?

Early Bird Registration is February 15 – May 19, 2017. Pre-Registration is May 20 – July 21, 2017. Regular Registration is July 22 – September 18, 2017. After September 18, registration will be accepted onsite only at the Applied Net venue September 24 – 27, 2017. Spouse/Guest Full Registration and Spouse/Guest Evening Events Only must be purchased in advance. These options will not be available onsite.

Can I register at Applied Net?

Onsite registration is available September 24 – 27, 2017. Full Conference Registration onsite is $1,299 for Applied Client Network members and $1,499 for nonmembers.

What is included in my registration fee?

Full Conference Registration includes exclusive access to all educational sessions, exhibits, networking events, published meals and evening events. Additional fees apply for the Executive Management Program and Continuing Education (CE) classes.

One-Day Registration includes educational sessions, exhibits, networking events, published meals and evening events on the selected day. Attendees can choose from Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

I can’t make every day of the conference. Can I register for an individual day?

Yes. One Day Registration includes educational sessions, exhibits and published meals/evening events on the selected day. Attendees can choose from Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. One Day Registration costs $729.

Can I bring my spouse or another guest?

Yes. There are two registration options for spouses/guests. Spouse/Guest Full Registration is $629 and includes exhibits, published meals and evening events but does not include educational sessions. Spouse/Guest Evening Event Only is $179 (per person per event) and allows conference registrants to purchase a ticket to the Tuesday and/or Wednesday evening event. This does not include any other meal functions or exhibits. Attendees to evening events must be 21 years of age or older. Spouse/Guest Full Registration and Spouse/Guest Evening Event Only registration must be purchased in advance. These options will not be available onsite.

What should I do when I arrive?

Visit the Applied Net registration and help desk during open hours to check in and pick up your conference materials. The registration desk will be open (Eastern Time):

  • Sunday, Sept. 24: 3 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 25: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 26: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 27: 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. (registration closes, help desk will remain open until 6 p.m.)
  • Thursday, Sept. 28: 7:00 – 12 p.m. (Help desk only)

FAQ: Travel, Venue and Local Interests

Which property will host the educational sessions and exhibits during Applied Net?

MGM Grand Las Vegas is the primary location for educational sessions, exhibits and housing.

What attire is appropriate for Applied Net?

Business casual attire is appropriate for all Applied Net events.

Are there any activities outside of the conference hotel? If so, is transportation provided?

While entertainment activities for Applied Net 2017 are still being finalized, you can rest assured that for any scheduled conference activities away from MGM Grand Las Vegas, transportation will be provided.

If I want to extend my stay in Las Vegas beyond Applied Net, where can I get information on local attractions?

Are there any airlines and/or transportation discounts available?

Yes, select providers are offering discounts on airfare, shuttle service and rental cars to Applied Net attendees. Visit the Travel page for complete information about all available discounts.

Is the Resort Services Package fee mandatory and what does it include?

Yes, this is a mandatory fee and includes the following: Unlimited local phone calls and 800 number calls up to 60 minutes in length, long distance access (credit card and collect calls), 20 minutes of domestic long distance per day, complimentary bottled water replenished daily, high-speed Internet access, and unlimited admission to the fitness centers.
