Applied Net and IVANS Connect Registration Terms & Conditions
These are the terms that govern your registration, attendance, and participation in Applied Net and IVANS Connect (“Event” as applicable). By registering for the Event, you are agreeing to these terms. If you are registering on behalf of another, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person attending is aware of these terms and accepts them. By completing the registration you are warranting that you have made the attendee aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.
Event Information & Registration Badge
The Event is a conference consisting of various learning sessions, access to exhibitors, social gatherings, and other information. Upon registration at the Event venue during the conference dates, attendees will receive an identification badge which must be visibly worn at all times during the Event and to gain access to certain areas and social gatherings. Loss or misuse of the identification badge is the sole responsibility of the attendee. Your level of access to content and sessions may vary depending upon you registration type (vendor, sponsor, prospect, customer, etc.).
Copying, Recording, & Live Streaming Prohibited
All intellectual property rights in and to the Event, content, trademarks, product names, and all materials distributed at, in connection with, or after the Event are owned by Applied Systems, Inc., its affiliates, or the sponsors, exhibitors, or speakers presenting at the Event (as applicable).
Participants may not copy, take pictures or screenshots, record, live-stream, or broadcast audio or video of the Event or its sessions in its entirety or portions thereof. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any written materials, slides, or video, if any, provided by Applied Systems, Inc., its affiliates, sponsors, exhibitors, or speakers without express written permission.
Code of Conduct
We strive to provide a positive, fun, and engaging experience for all participants. We ask that you conduct yourself in a professional manner to create an environment where all participants can collaborate, learn, and network in a productive and respectful environment.
The following behavior is inappropriate and will not be tolerated:
- Threatening, disruptive, or disorderly conduct or comments, including that which is inappropriate for a professional setting.
- Harassment of a participant of any kind, including based on a participant's race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or appearance, whether by conduct, language, or other action.
- Uninvited contact or following (whether in-person or online), or disrespecting the boundaries of other attendees (including through jokes or imagery).
- Soliciting business or scheduling appointments to sell products (referred to as “suitcasing”). If you would like to participate as a vendor, you must register as an exhibitor or sponsor.
Such behavior may result in removal from the Event and other penalties. Participants asked to stop such behavior are expected to comply immediately. If you feel that a participant is not following this Code of Conduct, please submit a report with your name, contact details, and a description of the situation to webmarketing@appliedsystems.com to report a violation. This reporting function is not intended to address emergency or criminal behavior and in such cases you should contact the police, fire, medical, or other appropriate authorities.
Privacy & Personal Information
The Event exhibitors and sponsors are provided with personal attendee information. This may include attendee name, title, company, email address, and physical mailing address. Attendees must opt in to receive email communications from select sponsors and/or exhibitors during the registration process. You acknowledge that by engaging with an exhibitor or sponsor, that you may be asked to provide your personal information and that the contents of such communications may be recorded or otherwise maintained by the sponsor or exhibitor, to which you consent by entering into such communications. The use of those communications and information is subject to the privacy policies and terms of such exhibitor and/or sponsor. Use and disclosure of personal information may be outside of the territory in which you reside and European Economic Area for these purposes.
You acknowledge and agree that Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates may use your personal information pursuant to its privacy policy and Applied Client Network, the Event co-sponsor, may use your personal information pursuant to its privacy policy.
Photos & Videos
We will take photographs and videos during activities and sessions during the Event. By participating in the Event, you grant Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates the right to use your name, company affiliation, and photograph for such purposes including, but not limited to, posting or publishing on news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, pursuant to the Appearance Release & License Agreement.
Program Changes
All efforts will be made to present the Event program as publicized on the Applied Net website. Applied Systems, Inc., its affiliates, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers, however, reserve the right to change or cancel any sessions, presentations, scheduling, plans, or other items relating directly or indirectly to the Event without prior notice and without liability for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result.
Disclaimer & Limitations
Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates make no representation, warranty, or guarantee as to the reliability, timeliness, quality, suitability, availability, accuracy or completeness of the materials or presentations provided at the Event. All conditions, representations and warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed by Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates to the maximum extent permitted by law. If Applied Systems, Inc. or its affiliates are liable to you for any reason, its total liability in relation to the Event is limited to the amount of the registration fee paid by you. No refunds or other monetary compensation will be given for virtual no-shows or cancellations.
Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
Event Cancellation Policy.
In addition to terms set forth during your registration, which may include a portion or all of your registration fees being non-refundable, Applied Client Network and Applied Systems, Inc. are not responsible for non-refundable or change fees imposed by third parties, including by not limited to, airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, event agencies or tour companies. This includes any costs or charges, including those as a result of circumstances beyond Applied Client Network’s and Applied Systems Inc.’s control, including but not limited to, acts of God (such as fires, explosions, earthquakes, drought, pandemic, floods and inclement weather), strikes and labor disputes, government restrictions or regulations on travel or group assembly, hotel or facility availability, lack of commodities or supplies, war or apparent act of war, terrorism, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic.
Attendees should cancel reservations directly with the third-party organizations.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois and the parties agree that all disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be brought only in the federal and state courts located in Will County, Illinois.
